Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Duong province in collaboration with Becamex IDC Corporation and National Institute of Urban and Rural Planning, Ministry of Construction (VIUP) has just organized a mid-term workshop on Binh Duong Provincial Planning for the 2021 period -2030, and vision to 2050.

The southern area including Thuan An, Di An, Tan Uyen is the center of Binh Duong's gateway to Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and the seaport. Modern city worth living with housing infrastructure, high quality services, healthcare and education systems meeting international standards, convenient public transportation connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and the center of the New City Binh Duong, Thu Dau Mot, Ben Cat, Bau Bang. It is a "magnet" to attract people to live, attract high-quality human resources and material resources, and transform the economic structure of the central and northern areas of the province.

The central area of Binh Duong (Thu Dau Mot, Ben Cat, Tan Uyen) is the "center of Binh Duong New City" and must continue to be planned to become an innovation area, the core area of a smart urban area in Binh Duong.

Northern localities (Ben Cat, Bau Bang, Phu Giao, Dau Tieng, Bac Tan Uyen) still have quite a fiscal space, coordinate planning to prepare industrial real estate to form, create a belt industry. It is the center connecting the Southeast region and the river port created by the ring roads. This area needs to become a new development pole to form a Culture - Fitness - Sports - Health - Education Complex to support the development poles of the province and the entire Southeast region.

       

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that by the end of April 2023, complete the final Provincial Planning Project and collect people's opinions to accept and complete the Planning.

 

Regarding specific fields, the province aims to focus on developing 10,000 hectares of industry in the period 2022-2030. It forms an industrial, urban, service and logistics belt. It is located along the Ring Road 4 corridor and the region's highways, in the northern districts and towns. The province continues to develop industry and is a place to relocate businesses to the South (about 2,888 businesses need to relocate to the North) or restructure and have about 2,000 hectares left over for urban and service development. of Thuan An and Di An. The province strives to relocate 30% - 40% of manufacturing enterprises in the South to northern industrial zones and clusters under the province's project by 2025. Since then, the province has formed specialized industrial parks, science and technology industrial parks, supporting industrial parks, green industries, circular industries, and industry 4.0. The goal is to have at least 30% of businesses convert production models to automation by 2030.

At the same time, the province needs to allocate space to shape the development of high-quality service industries in the direction of financial centers, commercial centers, educational centers, health care centers, and other services.

To develop urban areas, it is necessary to focus on planning, investment, and improving urban quality towards smart, civilized, and modern cities. By 2025, it is necessary to eliminate alleys and alleys with dirt roads and red gravel that are not connected and residential areas that do not meet infrastructure conditions and meet development targets (urban and rural housing areas, worker housing, social housing) according to forecast population size of the province in each period.

At the Workshop, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi assessed that this draft has a more complete and clearer content regarding the requirements of the Planning. In particular, the comments at the first Workshop session were received quite well.
