Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has just approved two urban areas with a total area of nearly 1,000 hectares in Trang Bom Town. It is implemented in the period from now to 2030.

Specifically, urban development area I of Trang Bom Town has a total area of more than 510 hectares. It covers the entire 4.5 neighborhoods; part of neighborhoods 1,2,3, Trang Bom Town, and part of Hill 61 commune.

The boundaries of the area I include: The North borders neighborhoods 1, 2, and 3 of Trang Bom town and Song Trau commune; The South borders Quang Tien commune and Doi 16 commune; The East borders Bau Xeo industrial park; The West borders Quarter 3 of Trang Bom town and Quang Tien commune

This area is the administrative, political, economic, and social center of Trang Bom district.

Urban development area I

The preliminary total investment capital of urban development area I for 3 groups of technical infrastructure projects, social infrastructure and urban development projects is 3,000 billion VND.

The project will be implemented in 2 phases, phase 1 until 2025 and phase 2 from 2026 - 2030.

The approved urban development area of Region II of Trang Bom Town has a total area of 466ha. It includes part of neighborhoods 1,2,3, Trang Bom Town, and part of the communes of Quang Tien, Hill 61, and Song Trau.

The boundaries of Area II include: The North borders of Quarter 3 of Trang Bom town and Song Trau commune

The South borders Quang Tien Commune and Doi 61 Commune; The East borders Bau Xeo Industrial Park and Song Trau Commune; The West borders Binh Minh Commune.

The urban development area of Region II, Trang Bom Town is an expanded urban development area. This place is oriented to support functions for the existing central area.

Total expected development resources for 3 groups of technical infrastructure projects, social infrastructure, and urban development projects are more than 3,400 billion VND.

Trang Bom district has a total natural area of more than 324 km2 and a population of nearly 340,000 people. The administrative boundaries include Long Thanh District to the south, Thong Nhat District to the east, Bien Hoa City to the west, and Vinh Cuu District to the north.

Trang Bom district currently includes 1 town (Trang Bom Town) and 16 communes. This locality has National Highway 1A running through. It is far from the city. Bien Hoa is 28km, 50km from Ho Chi Minh City.

Trang Bom is a district with strengths in industrial development and a rapid urbanization rate.

According to the general planning tasks of Trang Bom urban area until 2040, Trang Bom urban area is oriented to be a type III urban area. Its role is the district's political - economic - cultural center, multi-industry industrial center, logistics center, eastern logistics center, entertainment, sports, and eco-tourism center in Ho Chi Minh City.
