The road connecting Vung Tau - Binh Thuan and the 18,000 billion expressway is preparing to start construction

According to information from the City People's Committee. Vung Tau, this project connects coastal localities of Ba Ria - Vung Tau including Long Son commune, Long Dien district, Dat Do, and Xuyen Moc.

Recently, City People's Committee. Vung Tau organized the conference. The content is to announce land recovery and disseminate compensation and resettlement support policies. The purpose is for the State to implement the project of a road connecting to the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway (from Vung Van to Vung Tau coastal road, coastal road DT.944).

Accordingly, this project connects coastal localities of Ba Ria - Vung Tau including Long Son commune (Vung Tau city), Long Dien, Dat Do, and Xuyen Moc districts. This is a project that helps socio-economic development in the east of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. In particular, the route serves as a seamless connection between famous coastal tourist destinations from Vung Tau - Binh Thuan.

The route is 6.8km long, and the total investment capital is nearly 5,200 billion VND. It will connect two important traffic routes, improve regional traffic, and promote tourism real estate development.

The main route is an urban road - an urban highway. The design speed is 100km/h, while the parallel road's design speed is 60km/h. There will be three bridges on the route: Co May 3 bridge, Cay Khe 4 bridge, and the overpass at the coastal road intersection DT994.

The total expected land area is more than 261,609 square meters. Of these, 194.3m2 of residential land; more than 102,000 m2 of agricultural land, and more than 134,000 m2 of aquaculture land; The remaining area is land for transportation, irrigation, and rivers. The total number of land recovered is 159 cases and involves 299 households and units.

Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project was started in June 2023. The project's length is 53km, total investment capital is nearly 18,000 billion VND.

This expressway includes 3 component projects. Component 1 and component 2 go through Dong Nai province, and project component 3 goes through Ba Ria - Vung Tau. Currently, site clearance of project component 3 is nearly completed. The expressway through Ba Ria - Vung Tau has gradually taken shape.

Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway is expected to be completed in 2025 and put into operation in 2026. The project will help reduce the traffic on National Highway 51 and connect to a series of major traffic hubs including Long Thanh Airport; Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway; Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway…
